Hello,

my name is Sophia, I am 22 years old and I live in Hamburg, Germany. I am currently studying Interior Design in Hamburg and I will receive my Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design in January 2027.

I am a very family-oriented person, and building good and trusting relationships is very important to me. I have been in a long-term relationship with my boyfriend for over four years, and I value close and respectful connections with the people around me.

I have an older brother and a niece who is six years old and just started school. I really enjoy spending time with her and being around children in general. I have gained a lot of experience working with children in different ways. I have been volunteering in a childcare program for over a year, working with children between the ages of five and twelve. We do many activities together, such as playing outside, ball games, crafting, drawing and creative projects.

In addition, both of my parents work with children as educators, and my mother is a preschool teacher. I completed an internship with her and often helped out, which gave me early experience in working with younger children. I also babysat regularly for a year, twice a week, which helped me become very confident and responsible when caring for children.

Besides my work with children, I also work in an ice cream shop, where I am in contact with many people every day. I really enjoy being around people, communicating with others and creating a friendly atmosphere.

I also have a dog named Tyler, and I love spending time with him. Animals are an important part of my life, and I would be very happy if my host family also had a pet.

In my free time, I like meeting friends, going to the cinema and spending quality time with the people I care about. Shared experiences and a positive environment are very important to me.

Becoming an au pair in the USA, especially in New York, has been a big dream of mine for a long time. I would love to experience a new culture, improve my English and become more confident speaking it. Most of all, I hope to become a part of my host family and share a great time together.
