Dear Host Family,

My name is Nokutenda. I am 18 years old and come from Harare, Zimbabwe. I am a friendly, caring, patient and responsible young woman who genuinely enjoys spending time with children.

I grew up in a family where helping and caring for one another is important. I have younger siblings, and I have often helped my mother look after them. This has taught me patience, responsibility and the importance of making children feel safe, loved and supported.

I also have one year of experience working with children in my church's Sunday school. I helped supervise the children, organise fun and educational activities, assist with lessons and encourage them to participate. I particularly enjoy playing games, singing, storytelling and helping children learn new things.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, dancing, singing, playing volleyball and chess, listening to music and going for walks. I would love to share these activities with your children and also introduce your family to some of the traditions and culture of Zimbabwe.

I already have my A1 German language certificate and have continued learning German. I am excited about the opportunity to improve my language skills, experience everyday life in Germany and become part of a welcoming family.

My dream is to become an au pair in Germany, preferably starting in January 2027. After my au pair experience, I hope to continue my education and pursue a career in nursing.

I am currently living in Zimbabwe and am already on the waiting list for an au pair visa appointment at the German Embassy in Harare. I understand that the visa process may take time, and I am happy to communicate openly with a potential host family about my availability.

As an au pair, I would be happy to help with your children's daily routines, play with them, organise age-appropriate activities, assist with school or kindergarten preparations and help with light household tasks related to the children.

Most importantly, I would love to become a trusted and caring member of your family. I believe that kindness, respect, patience and good communication are essential for a happy relationship between an au pair and a host family.
