I have been an active member of a healthcare team, assisting qualified/registered nurses provision of clinical care in a safe environment to a defined caseload of patients within both in patients and out patients settings. My area of specialization is taking care of the elderly especially those with dementia and other chronic illnesses. I have a good knowledge of dementia and how to take good care of patients suffering from dementia.
I always strive to improve the quality of healthcare of patients i am privileged to take care for, especially those that needs help with personal care. I support and care for them through continuing professional development by communicating effectively while ensuring the safety and their well-being.
My expertise over the years has opened me up to understanding how patients relate, communicate, feel, etc. This has enable me to adequate perceive their desires and finding a way to satisfy them typically with the assistance of a registered nurse and other healthcare personnel. I ensure that the patient’s comfort, dignity and privacy is maintained at all times. I always complete the mandatory work of recording patient’s activities and changes noted while on duty, supporting with activities such as dressing, feeding, grooming, meal preparation,care plan, fluid charts,weight charts,stool chart etc. As a qualified caregiver I offer a deep passion for the task and flexibility the work brings. This has helped me to grow over the years and most importantly given me the strength to perform well each and every time as a carer.

I have studied online healthcare courses that includes nursing and patient care and other online healthcare courses to assist me gain more knowledge in the Healthcare field. I have also attended a home based care course and a first aid course in my home country were i have done both practicals and theory and i received Certificates. I am open to more trainings and growth within the Healthcare industry.
